I was curious because I am painting a car for the very first time. I am using Dupont Chroma base/clear. I told them I was a newbee and wanted to make sure I had enough clear to sand. They said 2 coats would be plenty; actually concerned if it was thicker. Is that different or is that normal to put that many coats of clear on. I know when people used to do Laquer they used to do thet but thats differe.
