Ford imported 5200 Panteras into the US, not including Canada. Lets say 1000 have been lost to accidents & neglect. Another 1500 can be accounted for between the membership of POCA & Pantera International. That leaves 2700 Panteras sitting in storage in the US. Jake has proven my point. My friends, there are plenty of Panteras out there, sitting in storage, waiting to be discovered and returned to the road.

George, I think your 1000 figure for neglectic or destroyed car is low.

A side note to this subject, I'm at the Ford dealer last week looking at the second GT I needed to repair for them, and one of the young techs ask me "don't you have a Pantera?" we get to talking, he tells me his uncle in Mich. gave him a 73 Pantera, and it's only missing the motor. All he has to do is pay for shipping the car to CA. I'll keep you posted on this one.

I do agree that there are cars to be had, just not as many as there used to be, and thats fine by me.
