By the serial # you have a pre L. However, the rear bumper is from an L, as is the dashboard. There are no front marker pods so that would indicate a Pre l.

I'm not really sure. There were transition cars that bore features of both.

The serial number on the drivers foot box is the only number actually stamped into the original monocoque body shell (as opposed to a riveted on tag or one tucked into the windshield molding) and would be worth trying to verify. I have never seen a plate welded over that location such as yours. There might be something worth seeing underneath.
