Noisy A/C

I have the original A/C on my 74. I believe it is a York piston compressor. Hard to believe but the A/C blows 30 to 35 degrees. Idling there is no noise, accelerate to any speed below 50 mph there is noise, cruise there is noise, let your foot off the accelerater or down shift and it sounds like GODZILLA is behind the passenger seat.Drive at 60 to 100 mph there is no noise. Turn the A/C off problem solved. It's not the fan.I want to keep the a/c stock. Any one else had this problem ? Thanks in advance. #7260
