Number 4106 Sold

I recently picked up a copy of Car Collector Magazine, November 2003 issue. Published out of Florida. On Page 68 of the publication is a photograph of a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera, Chassis number: THPNMD04106. This is a red car. This is the text that appeared underneath the photo of the car:
"Estimate $30,000-$40,0000; Visually maintained, largely original, 3 condition; Hammered Sold at $34,100 plus commission of 10%; Final Price $37,510 - Crack on passenger side near door handle, A/C, AM/FM cassette. Seats show more miles than the 13, 322 on the odometer. Aftermarket wheels, P-Zero tires. Hall Pantera maintained and largely original. No reserve. If this isn't a record for a largely stock Pantera, it is certainly close. All the money many Pantera enthusiasts spend on upgrades and performance parts is thrown down the drain. The real Pantera market is for stock cars (with needed brake and cooling upgrades) that retain the original's combination of Italian styling, handling and Cleveland horsepower. - Lot #116, RM Auctions, Monterey, 8/15/2003."
