Same thing happened when prices for 'old, worn out, uncompetitive race cars' like the GT-40 spiked in the late '70s. The critical number seems to be sales prices in the mid-6-figures that draws out the scam artists and metal magicians. Nice looking roadster but as you said, NOT a Mangusta.
