FWIW, I agree w/#2. The section thickness of the right side arm looks pretty thin and fragile. Its believable that an accident at one time or another simply broke the piece off. I've seen another 'Goose where the "removed" arm area on the bellhousing was simply polished. But from porosity pits, one can make out where an arm was originally.
