I wasn't suggesting that they were all like mine, only that my car may have left the factory that way. Without knowing the complete history of my car, I have no way of knowing for sure. There is some evidence of prior accident damage elsewhere on it, so it is likely that it was broken off post-factory.

Obviously the second casting Jay shows is quite different in many details and I wasn't suggesting it was the same casting as the two-armed version. Sorry if I confused the issue.
