John,
I started the car & discovered no oil pressure. I pulled the gauge panel. Ran a jumper from the sender to the gauge terminal as well as a ground. I use lamp cord with soldered insulated alligator clips.
With the jumper, the gauge works fine. I disconnected the jumper ground & the gauge still works….so ground is not the issue.
Continuity was my next step but wanted to find out how many connectors are involved so I can check each section from the sender to the gauge. Thank you, you have been a big help & saved me a lot of time. I want to track the break & then replace the wire at the same time. If I let it stay apart too long I forget how to put it back together!
Any idea where to get Pink/Black wire? I don't really want to solder in a splice to repair the damage. Maybe I will get lucky & it is in the connector. Probably not!
Thank you again John. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Dave
