Mike for the other part of your question--no, there is no separate regulator only for the gauges, the only regulator is the Bosch unit on the right engine wall. If you wanted to put in a 12v regulator, the total current to each gauge is probably about 100mA each (the Veglia meters themselves are about 100-120ohms, so with 4 gauges using current sensing then figure 12v/25ohms so less than 0.5amp reliably). Of course, a linear regulator at 12v is going to provide maybe 10% less than the gauges ran at before, but who knows if this makes them any less accurate Wink .
