Reply to "Oilpan"

To answer your original questions, Goose used a stock Mustang 68 302 oil pan and 1968 302 dipstick C8OE-B or C.... Oil pan may have evolved to 69..70 versions as time went on. Oil plug is lowest part of car..and I've heard of oil plugs getting "loosened" by driveway contact! not a good thing......most just get mashed into ugly...!

When I put in my new engine, I decided to "Panterorize" my dipstick and adapted a 92-ish T-Bird dipstick and tube to the engine. It bolts to the front of the head similar to original but has a "T" handle and a slight curve back and up so you can actually find it in the dark.....confines of the Goose engine bay!

I may or may not have added some more bend to the rear...... I think I just remarked this dipstick with 4-5-6qt levels. Easy cheesy!
