I believe the first motor (or one very much like it) was in the 2012(?) POCA Profiles article about the history of DeTomaso F1 Racing. It was a pretty recent issue - the article was reprinted from about 20 years ago (IIRC).

It covered a lot of information on the history of the DeTomaso F1 program... It was well written and researched.
