Reply to ""Other" Pantera Steering Wheels out there?"

When I got my hub from graham I tried to slide it onto the shaft which is the stock shaft - how do I know this, because it had the stock original wheel on it when I started. Anyway the splines on the Graham hub were too tight and it drove the shaft down through the bushing, I didn't realize until later that this was possible (lesson: hold up on the steering wheel shaft from below the dash when sliding the hub on, use some lube on the splines). With the shaft pushed down I thought I needed to machine the hub to get it to fit down into the plastic surround, so rather than return the hub I had a friend machine it to get more clearance - it was at this point that I realized that the hub was not machined to mate with the splines on my shaft - since I had machined the lower skirt off the hub to try to make it fit (we didn't do anything to the splines) Graham would not take the hub as a return. They were very nice but in the end I felt they sold me a defective product, it is paid for and sitting as an expensive lump in my garage. Yours however, will probably work
fine.
