Have you given any thought as to what tires you'll be running on these monsters? A 12" wide wheel would be optimized with a 295- or 305-sized tire while a 13" wheel would call for something like a 335. Finding such meats may be near-impossible in high-speed-rated rubber and a 50 or 60-profile of the correct diameter. True, there ARE some belted-bias cruisin'-the-hamburger-shop tires by Mickey Thompson or pure-racing gumball/rain tires that will fit, but they're either rated for fairly low mph limits or utterly illegal on public roads. Running either with a relatively fast, heavy mid-engined car such as a Pantera could be hazardous to your health or bank account. I suggest you check with Roger Kraus Racing Tires or The Tire Rack for recommendations on suitable rubber before you lay out significant money.
