Reply to "Overheating Help!"

Will, I am going to be following this thread with great interest. Mine is doing almost the exact same thing. Ran 185-190 for months, no problem. One day out of the blue, I glance down, temp gauge pinned at 220-225. New Stant 180 cleveland correct thermostat, flow tested the water pump, re-fill, water wetter. Feed and burp this thing so many freakin times it's worse than having a new born baby in the house. Yesterday I got caught in traffic, stop and go for 30-40 minutes. Temp steady at 190. Two minutes later I have a look, 220. I'm so frustrated, it's almost to the point, I am going to ignore the gauge until a hose blows off!! It's a bit unsettling, though, to look down and see the gauge pinned right off the dial. Anxiously waiting for any help or advice.
