Go to a local plumbing supply and buy a temp guage 1/2 NPT ...remove the sender in the intake and put the guage in there ..I;m sure you will be able to see it thru the rear view mirror ..this will clarify the mistery of the accuracy of the sender. They all so make guages with capilary tubes .. that will give you the true reading.
