Painted trans?

I glass bead blasted my zf trans, started the polish process. It takes forever to get even a lack luster shine. Now I see why they charge 1K to polish a trans.
Any thoughts about this killer chrome paint?
I have e-mailed Asla corp to see if the paint will take the heat.
