Hey to your earlier remark about your car being built with odds/ends laying around the DeTomaso plant. I've read that there were many cases a chassis would get pushed to the side for whatever reason for rework, and then later re-introduced into prodcution. I would imagine this is what happened to yours...hence early chassis elements. If they could only talk....
