A gentleman by the name of Bill Van Ess assembled a Pantera registry and published it in 1994. Responses to attempts to assemble Pantera registries has always been less than enthusiastic, Bill ran into this in assembling his registry as well. But he put a lot of effort into collecting as much data as was available at the time.

The Bill Van Ess (BVE) registry is my main source of history for these cars. Unfortunately, the registry has no data for your particular Pantera.

Looking at data for cars with chassis numbers on either side of your car, I can tell you it was built in January of 1972, and is therefore a 1972 model.
