Reply to "Pantera #6879 - $125K 1974 pantera w/ ONLY 135 miles"

Yes, nice car.

But it is now FAR from original.

I sent the following to the seller.

It sums up my feelings pretty well.
-------------------------------------------

You start off your description of this Pantera by saying it has not been touched, modified or restored.

Your asking price makes it appear your intended buyer will be someone that wants to show this car as an original survivor.

Then you go into great detail of all the parts you replaced, modified or upgraded.

Your changes/replacements/upgrades have taken away any true sense of "original", and thus the justification of your pricing at this level.

Likewise, far more intensely upgraded Panteras can be purchased for much less than your price on this car.

It seems you were trying to serve two masters with this car. But you've missed the mark on both an original, or an upgraded, Pantera.

The car does look great. I do wish you luck on your sale, but I sure don't think what you have done with this car will work in your favor.

If you should obtain another time-capsule car such as this, just leave well-enough alone and let the buyer decide what changes are needed.

Just my 2ยข
