Given the proper tires, I think the pantera would make an excellent snow car. All the weight is over the drive wheels. The biggest issues would likely be ground clearance and limited suspension travel.

And as Mark pointed out. Unless they separate the classes, no 2WD has a chance against the 4WD's

And, if you are just out having fun, fine. But if you drive hard enough to be competetive enough to win, sooner or later your luck will run out and you'll hit a tree.
