I really liked the Kingston event last year. It was very well organized and attended. I would like again recognize the great contribution that David B. (deeb) made with the help of Mark C. and Robert De. To ensure a repeat success, I am most interested to hear their opinions.

I do like the idea of possibly doing it at or near a track - but their will be the associated additional costs. There already is the Pocano event. Nevertheless, there are two tracks that quickly come to mind - Tremblent and Mosport.

In my mind I think we need to answer a fundamental question eventually - although it may be too early right now: Do we want to hold the event at the same place and time every year or do we want it to move around?

There are positives and negatives to both sides. Holding it at the same place/same time reduces the organizing burden and also ensures a level of support from the public (eg. municipalities) and private (eg. hotels) sector. The downside is the effort to overcome the "staleness" factor.

Moving the event around overcomes the staleness factor and improves the visibility of the event by bringing it more "locally" with the cost of the organizational burden.

I like the idea of getting together informally and discussing it.
