I rebuilt mine but would not do it again. If you drill out the rivets on the ends holding the assembly together, be careful as the guts are under the compression of little springs and plastic bits. The design has always baffled me as someone with a very sick mind must have designed it. If it were not for the originality look, I was going to get rid of it completely and run a robust switch designed for the purpose.
