I think that it is a reference to the car being 1971 technology.
The negative to running air cleaners on the Webers is that you don't get to see the flames in the carbs when you start it up at night.
They do tend to keep the water from the car wash out of the engine though.
Oh well. Everything is a compromise.

I would say that 160 is a good number on a track like that.
A track like Pocono COULD be closer to 175-180.

I'm sure that someone like Jackie Stuart could put it on the rails of the bank turns and find a better ceiling. (He used to own a Pantera-don't know if he still does).

The air up there is much too thin for mortals like me. I don't know if I'd send a kid up in a crate like this to find out.
