For those of you looking for a project car, I’ve got one for you.
I am posting this information on behalf of the owner.
The Pantera is a red Pre-L project car which the owner has discovered needs more work than he thought it did. He’s discovered bondo in several areas he wasn’t aware was there. He doesn’t want a project this big, so he’d like to sell it. The owner is willing to sell it for less than he paid for it, he’s hoping to get an offer in the “upper $20,000 range”. The Pantera is located in the San Francisco area. The chassis number is #2127 (September 1971 Pre-L Pantera).
My Notes:
This is a Pre-L Pantera but it has a Pantera-L front bumper???
It is equipped with aftermarket side air scoops where the “gills” are normally located.
There is lots of cracking bondo and peeling paint, some rust repairs have been attended to.
The glass appears to be all new except the back window is plexi not glass.
The under-side of the car has been painted red to match the top.
The owner has not driven the car because the clutch hydraulic system is dry; therefore he doesn’t know what condition the ZF is in.
The trunk tub is a two-piece type, the bubble for the A/C condenser is “patched” in, the tub is possibly from an earlier Pantera because I don’t think the factory was making that modification to Panteras with chassis numbers in the 2000 range.

The brake master cylinder looks like a corvette master
The car is equipped with a large Kenwood stereo
There are electrical switch issues
The passenger window does not work
The headlights don’t go all the way up
