Reply to "Pantera project for sale"

From the pictures, the car does not look too bad. With NO reserve it is a tempting investment for a person who has been dreaming of owning one of these beasts; and knows how to 'turn a wrench'!! The left rear upright, A-arm, and don't forget the 2 'Yoke' Bolts, should not be too hard to locate at either a vendor or someone parting-out a Panther. And are the Halfshafts there? The transaxle, in 'Good' condition will cost you, in the vicinity of $6000 and up. And then you'll need a complete clutch (and flywheel?) and the Bellhousing. The Engine, I could assemble myself, if I wanted to put that much time into it. OR I would just take all the pieces to a repitable Shop and have the Pro assemble it. Most of the extra parts could be sold off to gain a few bucks back. I would surely look over the frontal area well, if the rear needed panels replaced; the front must NOT be in the best of condition. The interior 'Looks' impressive. Good-Luck, and good building to whom ever is brave enough to take this on 'site-unseen'. Regards, Marlin.
