FWIW, I kinda like the Ring's body mods except for the ones that don't make sense, like the roof scoop and restricting 50% of the rear window opening- apparently for 'styling' 'cause the scoop area is not in a high pressure area and the deck-exhaust is not in a low pressure spot. Not sure about the rear brake scoops- those may also not be in a high pressure area.
The engine doesn't bother me. In 43 years, virtually everything except a flathead Ford has been swapped into Panteras, and nearly all are eventually swapped back to a Cleveland. Besides, the LS series engines are so close to a 21st century Cleveland anyway. All in all for the price for the mods, I'd take the '74 PLUS a driveable Mangusta, and do small changes to the chassis of both, myself. That would occupy the rest of MY life....
