I have RACV Total Care, even when I did my trip Melb to Canberra last week, I just put a std spare in the parts car that was following me ( had to put my luggage somewhere ! )
Or as they said a spacesaver in the rear trunk.
Personally I wouldn't.
But then I prob wouldn't do Darwin to Adelaide in a Pantera either !
