Reply to "Pantera 'Successor' Ford GT heading my way"

Hey folks, thank you for the encouragement! Let me tell you, NONE of this is fun or rewarding without fellow car idiots loving your car disease WITH you! So, thanks for that.

I had two colors I wanted, midnight blue or tungsten. Since I'm not terribly 'showy' (as if any of these things blend in!) I don't love stripes, so a no-striper was my pick. (Viper is steel gray, no stripes btw.)

The GT though is Tungsten with muted silver stripes. But it was a DRIVEN car unlike so many of these that are shelved objects of 550 mostly static horsepower. 'Mine' (haven't gotten it yet) has 32,000 loved miles, but looks like less than half that.

I didn't want a guilt complex for driving it, so that's out the window on this car. It is driven, was driven, will be driven. Now... if it only had a trunk!

Looking forward to the experience. Just shipped my sweet daughter off to school, so we're 'empty' now. My wife and I looking forward to a different stage here. The GT serves my ever fading manliness well, while she'll hopefully gain some passenger seat enjoyment on short trips.

She LOVES the look of it, and that I don't have to flatbed it to Atlanta for service. (Sold the 512TR recently, partly for that reason but a GREAT car nonetheless.)

So, that's more than you asked for, but that's my story, with justification!
