Pirelli already makes them in their Prototype tire plant. But the plant that does such small runs is in Ismir, Turkey and also makes all the F-1 and F-2 tires. Guess which tires get precedence? Pantera dealers order 10 tires from Pirelli and receive 4 maybe 6 months later; sometimes, none, sometimes 2. If they reorder, they may or may not receive any. This has been going on for years. Pantera GT5, GT5-S and upgraded earlier cars plus racers use those sizes as well as the Countache and a few Ferraris. Shortly after '87, DeTomaso and the rest of the world switched to 17" and up wheels.
