Reply to "PANTERAS AT POCONO"

When you get this many Panteras together at one time, it is sad that other marque owners can be inconsiderate such as you describe. It reminds me of about 7 or 8 years ago at the Concorso Italiano when, despite my directions, a BMW M-1 owner practically drove over me (not that hard to do at 5'5") and parked his car directly across the bow of several Panteras in a driving lane! He popped out, locked the car and proceeded to walk-off. When I asked him nicely to move his car and that it was in the Pantera display, he informed me that his car was also an Italian, mid-engine car and that it was rarer than a Pantera. Taking that into account, perhaps he could have at least placed his car so it didn't stick out like a sore thumb. I did call security and the owner was compelled to relocate his car. When organizers work hard to make a show special, I wish other owners would use better judgment. This year at the Concorso Italiano, we have 60 DeTomaso cars pre-registered already and we expect to pick up another 10-20 more entries. We had over 100 entries in 1997 when the festa DeTomaso took place. We think this will be our second biggest gathering. Thank you to all the Pantera owners and Concours organizers that work to put on these type of events where our marque can participate. The Adlers
