If you wind back the clock to 1974 and look at other performance cars of that era, I imagine a similar mileage/condition Pontiac Trans Am would've brought 50 grand or better. And that's for a pretty pedestrian car. A Ferrari 365BB would've pulled over 400k.

There is a 10k mile green 74 Pantera on ebay right now at 60k ish, reserve not met. These cars are still under the money, and it appears that stock and original (with sensible reliability improvements) are getting more attention, appreciation.
