Parking Brake Spring

I just noticed that I have no return spring attached to the parking brake lever under the my car, but one is shown in the exploded view in the manual. Assuming I can find the correct spring, can someone explain where it attches to the lever on one end and the chassis on the other? Thanks for the help.
