For the most part what your saying is very true Kevin. However, you know me and you know how much I've been involved throughout the years. As the POCA raffle coordinator for the annual convention in Las Vegas for the last 2 years and the 3rd year coming up, as past VP of the Arizona chapter of POCA and my continued involvement with PI. You also know I have tried to coordinate events and have been to several meetings. Nothing changes, it's always the same old BS. A mini car show in the parking lot, lots of bitching, clicky and boring. Which is why many of us have stopped coming to the meetings, car shows and other get togethers.
You and I have had this conversation a few times before. I know how hard you work and as dedicated you are as President of the Arizona Chapter of POCA and how dedicated you are in bringing people together, organize things to do and stop all this from happening. But it still happens and there's not really much you're going to do to change it. People have to want to change, and most of these people will never change. That's just the generation they come from. They can choose to stay where their at or they can choose to help make a change. They've choosen to say where their at and many of us choose to move forward with other things. You can only get slapped in the face so many times before you realize that it's just not worth it and a waste of time. I have nothing but respect for you Kevin as a person and what you're always trying to do, what amazes me is how long you've continue to do it.
Case in point, I heard the Pantera turnout at the Sanderson show was terrible. How many Pantera's were there ?
Personally, I didn't buy and drive my car to belong to a club, go to car shows or events. I bought & drive my car for myself. While it's nice to take drives with a group of them, I get just as much enjoyment if not more out of driving my car by myself without the BS that seems to go along with most clubs. Whether it's a Pantera club, a Ferrari or Porsche club. I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself, nor do I have to be part of any club or be accepted by any group to be called worthy of being a Pantera owner.
Your a great guy Kevin and I have a lot of respect for you, but you yourself know that's the way it is and never said out loud.
Now it's being said and discussed in the open........and maybe this will help bring about the change that's needed.

Hey guys it does not matter what you do, whether meetings, car shows, track events, runs, get togethers, etc., etc., You will find the same thing going on. It is human nature going on. I personally go to almost all the meetings, (and drive my car to the meetings every chance I get), I go to car shows, track events, in fact just about anything that I get a chance to drive and show off my car (that I love!), I will go to despite my very busy work schedule. I believe that you get out of something about equal to what you put into it. I know that there will always be people that are like sticks in the mud and will not drive their cars, but there are others who will drive their cars and participate and need you to be there to help make these things fun! There is a very simple theory which says you are either part of the problem or part of the solution. all of us that are realizing that there is a problem need to ask ourselves that question, so that we can change things for the better. I have never seen things improve by people deciding to quit participating. the truth of the matter is that the biggest part to fixing something is to first realize there is a problem, you guys have already done that, so how about helping out the rest of us,to fix the problem. We need guys like you, that love these cars and love to drive them. Without your help this problem will only get worse.
