I am running the "Big Throat" mufflers with my 460-powered car. The sound is definitely aggressive, but not crazy obnoxious. I have heavily insulated the cars interior and do not have a radio. I can carry on a conversation with the passenger in an elevated voice. Outside the car you can hear it several blocks away with subdued driving. It sounds about what you would expect from a 550hp engine with large diameter exhaust and minimalist mufflers.

Something to be aware of: The tips do stick out further than stock. I tucked the exhaust as far forward as I could with 2.5" diameter, mandrel bent stainless tube exhaust, routed conventionally. I am not running bumpers, which probably makes them appear to protrude even further out. See the picture, below.
