I think you guys are missing the point this is not a competition. It is an opportunity to post a photo of you picking up your kid in something unusual. If a Pantera – Great, that naturally qualifies.
It started when I picked up my kid in the Pantera, which happens often now. But I like to add something different
to the parking lot show. At his school parents line up (often 15 minutes or more too early), so it is kind of a quick car
show.
The kids like to see something different than the usual SUV/Minivan.
My kid like it when I drive my old, rusty, loud, 4WD Ford pickup. It’s cool because it’s different.
I’ve motivated a few others, usually dads, to drive something different, a Ferrari, and old willies army jeep, or Grandpa’s
Ford Skyliner.
I’d show up riding a backhoe just to make the kids laugh!
I think a Trident, Messerschmidt or Isetta (sp ?) is cool, even if they seem like a toy (miniature) car.
Know what a Trident is? Here is a Photo:
(BTW: I wish the board would not throw away my text, just because I tried to load a photo that is too big. I hate rewriting.)
