Reply to "Please help with my Holley carb."

Start off with the shooters. This is the item in the carb held down with the large philips screw when looking down the top of the carb. Easy to change and remove. These inject fuel to enrichen the mixture during throttle changes. They have a number. Larger number, more fuel. Jump up a few sizes to see if injecting more fuel helps elmininate the hesitation.

There are two types of these. Some have small tubes to direct the extra fuel down the carb, these are most desirable. The others fan out and could lean out the mixture. The better ones cost more, of course.

The second thing is a plastic cam that is on the throttle plate of the carb. This "profiles" how and when the enrichment fuel is added. One can change these for a better match. Kind of cool, but often on the edge of tuning. Which I mean after everything else is right one can waste time changing these. The do come in different "cam" profiles for engine needs, but often the results could be limited
