Potential Purchase of a Pantera

I am looking at a 1971 Pantera. It is owned by a local fellow here in Arkansas. He bought it from someone in Houston, TX about two years ago. It is yellow with black interior. I did not get the VIN number from the car. I am a novice to Panteras so I wouold like to ask the collective wisdom of the list as to any particular items I should look for. How do I tell if the cooling has been upgraded? Where are the best places to purchase parts? The car does not have A/C now. How can I tell if it did originally? Any assistance woould be appreciated.
