Dick,

Is this the plate you mean? Most of the ones that I have seen are not stamped. Of those that are, I have never seen two that are stamped in the same way (information stamped, placement, size of stamping, typeface, die type, etc.) so I believe they were not stamped at the factory. Regardless, none of the ones I have seen indicate where the color would go. Is there a different plate that you can share a photo of?

The one document I do have that shows the factory color is my build sheet that I obtained many years ago.
