Pulling off a Carb with a nitrous plate

We getting ready to pull the manifold and carb out on our pantera. usually this wuld be very simple buuuut, my dads nitrous system is set up with a plate between the the carb and the intake maifold.
my question is, does anybody know how to take off this plate? or more importantly is there a danger to disconecting it? like will nitrous gas be slowly leaking into our garage?
My asumption is that we can either A) unbolt everything and just push the plate off to the side, or B) disconect the lines to the plate and pull it out as well. But im just guessing that so if anyone knows better corrrect me.

also does the maifold have to be torqued when its put back on? and if so does anyone know the torque specs and pattern?
