Pulls Left On Accelleration

Under hard accelleration, my car pulls left and when I shift it darts back to the right. I have checked the engine and transmission mounts and the look ok and seem tight. The car seems to drive straight under normal driving conditions. All bushings / ball joints seem good, but are original.
The car is a 71 and is all stock down to the wheels.
Any input would be apprecaited.
