Reply to "Question for my friends on the DTBB"

This is a difficult subject to transverse and forgive me if I get it all out of sequence.
First, this is an international forum. What was posted was a political statement and nationalistic. I personally do not have problems with that because I am American and it was a pro American post.
Even though I support our troops I wouldn't schedule a Fourth of July parade, let's just say, outside of the US. That would be inappropiate.
In case it wasn't noticed, Iraq is a US issue, not the world's.
I personally do not like to hear negative criticism of the US, even when it is right. I think that it is presumptuous to think that my non-American PI Forum friends want to hear about my American nationalist position and political beliefs.
In this case and under those conditions I think that it is inappropriate.
It isn't anything that I personally would loose sleep over for having done, nor loose respect for the person that did it.
It is not an unfortunate situation and requires no appology.
There is nothing wrong with it to me, it is just out of place on the PI Forum.
Had I placed it my friends would understand (if I had any). Hell, I've already insulted half the world already here on the Forum. Nobody's lynched me yet...hey, hey, what's that I smell? Why do I smell fire?
