Jack, interesting looking sunroof. Looks oversize and fits the profile of the car. I have seen the removable roof on Micheals GT5s; it fits-in under the deck. Can you show details of yours?

...I don't know if this Roof was a Factory Option. Only a Knowledgeable Person of the DeTomaso Factory could answer that question. I do know that the Fit and Finish
is as good as it gets, and could only have been done by a Professional Shop! And was NOT done by a Second Rate, Back Alley, Roof Installer with a SaberSaw!! Notice how the Headliner is Tucked Into the Frame, Very Well Done.
Some may believe that a sunroof adds headroom.. it does, only when opened, but the Framework intrudes about one inch into the Cockpit.

The Roof is Removable, I have only taken it out once, because it is Fragile and there is No real safe way to store it. It is Irreplaceable!
One would never be able to find a replacement.

Devalued? Possibly. That is up to the 'Next' Owner, and I will No longer be of This World when this Car Changes Hands! I plan for it to go to My Children. I can tell you this, when I went to Inspect the car, before purchasing, the 'Asking Price' was $24.500 The Dealer, with-out Me asking, Dropped the Price by $2000! To 'compensate' for any decrease in value. He then Dropped it another $500. Because I agreed, I would work on it and get it to pass the 'Smog Inspection' required when any vehicle is transfered in the State of California.(A complete Tune-Up and a Timing adjustment was all that was needed).

I didn't care for the SunRoof at first, But now It Works! Surprising what things You miss when You can't Look UP and OUT!

Enjoy the Pictures, they should answer any remaining Questions.
