Will, its a LONG haul for Canadians, but each Fall at the Mojave Airport in east-central California, they run the 'Mojave Mile'. Same concept except the super-wide concrete runway is 1.0 mile in length plus another mile or so of runoff. Current 'record' for sorta-street-driven sporty cars is around 210, I think. Turbo-Vettes, Ford GTs, blown Vipers and Big Red the elephant-block '67 Camaro all run regularly, as well as some unbelievably fast bikes (and really brave riders).

The unofficial Pantera record for this standing mile is held by the current Prez of Nor-Cal Panteras at around 174 if I remember right. His street car has 545 big-block c.i. Love to see you there.
