Race the Runway is a great event organised by Peter O'Blenis. The event has a maximum of 88 cars registered to race the 4000ft runway. Quarter mile time and 1/2 mile speed is recorded.
The beauty of this event is the camaraderie. Egos are left at home and participants all have fun cheering others and sharing improvements they have done to their cars. Even though rumour had it the Cobra guys, the Camaro guys and the Corvette guys had their own internal bets

The underdog was a Dodge Neon totally homebuilt by a 20 something pushing 500+ horsepower.
Profits generated go to charity

A fun day for all. This year a show and shine brought many intereting cars as well.
