I took your lead and contacted Wilkinson Friday. I learned quite a lot about my late addition Pushbutton. I need to talk to these guys first before ordering parts. There were a lot of design changes going on early. Apparently my original brass trim was unusual. Regardless, they determined that I had one of the early German “short” replacement windshields on my car. This is what caused the ½” gap as someone mentioned earlier. Yes, they do offer a rubber gasket kit that replaces the metal. I bought a new windshield for $550 + Gasket Kit $179. All in all I got off cheaper than I was expecting originally.
Thanks for the pic’s 72GTS. I’ll pass them on to my windshield dude. I hope mine turns out as nice as what you showed. Thanks again for pushing me in the right direction. It’s one of those “Aw S**t!” moments that worked out for the better.
