I thought I would post some pictures of a sway bar mount mods I had done. Here's a picture modified sway bar mount on my rear lower A-arm. Someone posted a suggestion to add a support to the sway bar mounts...so when my car was at the fabricators I had him add a 3/16 piece of bar stock to the bottom side of my sway bar mount. It boxed the stock mount. He left the stock nuts on, but drilled a hole through the new piece of bar stock so that you can do a bolt through the mount and actually put a washer an nut on the other side. Since the stock nut is in place it won't crush the original mount because the 3/16 bar stock sits on the stock nut creating a spacer of sorts.
I think this mod will do a few things, stop flex in the actual mount, but also stop oil canning of the mount which might push and pull on the two a-arm tubes that it is welded to when it is actually flexing.
Maybe my stock sway bar will be more effective...should be more responsive?
