Rear Axle replacement

Just completed the rear Drivers side Axle replacement, New Axle, Replaced Bearings and Fitted Larger Bearing on the inside, while I was there replaced the lower arm support rod with new sintered bronze bushings, and added grease points. All went well, but while replacing the Inner and Outer universal joints , we found someone had added speedy sleeves to the old universal joints ends to make them fit the housing, I have NEVER seen that Before!! All I can presume is someone purchased the incorrect universal joint and the ends must have been to small, so they went to the time and effort to add a speedy sleeve to each end.

I feel better that we now have well fitting universal joints.
