Rear Ball Joints

Anybody think about the rear ball jonts are pressed in from the top side, allowing the weight of the car to press in the direction you would to remove them. I removed them and now I have pressed them back in and to maintain the keyed or alignment slot in the orginal position you have to press it back into the grooves aready there.
Can this be a problem later?
