If you want to cut down the vibration just try a little trick a fellow Pantera brotheren turned me on to. Take an old straight rubber spark plug boot & cut it down to the proper length so that it can be wedged between the top of the windshield & the back of the rearview mirror mounting arm. Get it wedged in good & tight & it helps stabilize the mirror from the vibration. I used a black colored boot & it is hardly noticeable from the inside or outside of the car & cut down mirror shake quite a bit. YMMV.
